Hey, I got everything to work, but the is there a way to resize the box to make it bigger? I can see the borders of the screen/box no matter what I do

I got stuck at 6:40 I dont see a box pop up when I click above the screen in the virtual desktop

Hi! Loved the guide but i'm having one problem. The thing you cannot show on the video (difficulty i guess) i simply cannot find out. After you fixed resolution ingame, set FOV, and then you refer to using handcontroller to go out to the SteamVR or something and set it so the head freeflows with the camera. How do you do that exactly?

Kinda mitigated the game being CPU bound, but for me it's quiet unstable running it this way. Frametimes go into the gutter and FPS fluctuate more wildly, because if all 8 cores are maxed out there's nothing they could delegate to without SMT. Game becomes a bit unstable for me. Guess for streaming I really have to use another dedicated PC then, because it seems I can only choose between good FPS on up to 1440p or low CPU usage @4k. And sadly I have to use my CPU for streaming, as I have an AMD GPU.

Do you know if battle encoder shirase is detected by EAC as a cheat?

THIS IS NOT VR. its just tracking. VR mean STEREO camera. When u can feel the distances. Translate mono picture to the HMD is not real VR. Not even close. Yes, its usable, because of tracking. And u can move ur head. But its not look like real VR, where u can feel size and distances to everywhere. Like in real world.

Hey, I have a dell xps 9520 laptop with an i7-12700H processor and RTX 3050 Ti with 32GB of ram. I made the changes in process lasso like you did and while better, my fps is still sitting around 15-30 while my cpu usage is very low and my gpu is maxxed. I don't see how you are getting way better frames, is the 3060 Ti that better or is something wrong with mine?

Does this still work and would it work with quest 3?

Can I close the software or does it need to be running for the changes to work?

Sadly this is not actually full VR support, I tried it... is just wrapping the screen around your head. In order to have full VR it need to render the game with two camera side by side. Each camera will act as each of your eyes so both camera will look at with slight different angle. This is what makes the picture look 3d, it have depth. But this method only render one camera angle and duplicate both of the picture to each of your eyes. That's why you can move around your head to look but you didn't get the depth of the room, because both of your eyes is looking the same picture with the same angle.

Works fine, but the one big issue with a title or game that doesn't support VR is that the image get really flat unfortunately so the deph and distance perception is lost. Let's just hope that VR will be a main thing when the general consumer realizes what they miss out on not having tried VR when it is really well done.

Hey, may you help ? Star citizen doesnt lauch in VR mode, its launch in the square screen and the resolution doesnt permit me to click in the options caus eits zoomed like 20% in. I mean i stay in the environement and still see the square screen and i'im not in VR in the game Hope you can hel, best regards

Alas, when I launch SC according to your instructions, it does not come up in VR, merely as a stream in VD and 2D. In VR, I see the standard Steam grid nothing else. Got a fix to that?

This worked fine, for exactly 5 minutes, and it's no VR at all. Then the story started to jolt so violently that I almost vomited. The game manufacturers manage to get you on a plane in VR and fly from A to B, but CIG doesn't manage to properly port its game into VR. There are already many good ways to achieve this today. For example openvr. If it were VR, many would certainly like to come back. Since VR could be twice as hungry for resources, it is not offered at all. The game still runs, not without bugs and glitches.

this did nothing for me im wondering if i did it wrong. i have a 3070 ti, i5 12600k, a 1tb ssd, 64gb od ddr4 ram with 3600hz and even an extra hd for any external page files. idont get why my shi 20-30fps. high or normal priority did nothing.

Hello, how do you get the dials working? (for mining beam, throttle) It's not working for me if i assign mouse wheel horizontal e.g. Actions where i have to hold the button (like acception invites or shared missions) aren't working too... EDIT: i see you have assigned "accept" and "decline" - how did you get them working? EDIT2: nvm, found the problem - the Loupedeck software needs admin rights^^

everything is setup but for me star citizen opens up on the virtual desktop screen, not in VR, and i cant see or click any buttons because its so zoomed in

Haven't played the game in years and just got the new update - this isn't doing anything for me. Custom loop, 4090 with custom BIOS, 13700K. After changing affinity and priority for both launcher and game the FPS is still dog-shit, with 99% FPS occasionally hitting single digits and average in the lower 40s and upper 30s. I cannot believe this is still an issue this far after release; that's why I only test the game every few years to see if anything has changed.

Instructions unclear, had to use regular Virtual desktop and use its headlock feature inorder to continually see my screen, if i turn off the VR menu i lose sight of everything. wonder if you can pair this with gimbals. I know you have to hit the free look button to make gimbals free-aim with your free look which disables mouse control of the ship but... theoretically you could do a broadside fly by.

I’m not sure what’s happening. In the status, it says star citizen is “restrained”. When I change anything in “CPU affinity > Always” it says “error setting process cpu affinity”. When I try to change the always priority settings, it doesn’t do anything, and when I try to change the current settings, it says access denied. I’m running process lasso as admin..

After turning off hyper-threading my fps went from 50 to 35, i think they have changed something to use hyper-threading now cuz my cpu utilization also went from 99 to 60 when disabling hyper-threading. my cpu is 9900k.
